LyteHacks was born out of a need to further develop the hackathon culture here in Tallahassee. For every academic semester there is a “season” that allows the hackers to gain points through attending and creating awesome hacks. Each season consists of 3 hackathon events and an expo to close out the season. During each event the hackers form teams and have 10 hours to create anything they would like from scratch. The expo is the time for the hackers, sponsors, and other local businesses to interact and network with one another and see the innovative projects that came out of the season.
